Surely, I'm Not the Only One That Does This!

and

I do a lot!

 

 

Do you go to bed at a reasonable time - fall asleep for a couple hours - wake up and can't fall back to sleep?  But, instead of looking at the ceiling for hours hoping your eyes close and drift off to sleep again - I get up and, man oh man, so much is accomplished in those wee hours.

 

Doing laundry at 2 a.m. is fantastic.  Recently,  I even rearranged dishes in the cabinets. Washed a few tablecloths to use for the upcoming holiday dinners.  Pulled the heavy duty dining table protector pads out from under the sofa in the study. 

 

Most definitely Christmas decorations have been done during wee hours of the morning when the house is silent.  Turn on a little Christmas music - keep the volume very low - just enough that music can be heard  - and a lot gets accomplished.  I can string those lights and wire the ornaments like I know what I'm doing!

 

But, at five or six a.m. I'm so tired and sleepy my eyes can hardly stay open.  Jump back in bed and snuggle under my comforter.  Heaven - it feels like heaven!  Awake around nine a.m. and feeling guilty for sleeping so late.  No, I don't feel guilty!  Dang, I didn't sleep late.  I've had about six to eight hours of sleep.  I went to bed at 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. - up at one a.m. -  worked for four or five hours and went back to sleep for an additional four or so hours.  So, that's about seven hours of sleep.  Don't call me lazy!  You get as much sleep as I do - maybe even more!

 

Because I do not work outside my home, I do consider myself lucky that I am able to set my own hours, so to speak.  That's why my facebook work/ employment says I work at being a lady of leisure.  I work leisurely within my own hours.  But I do work - don't think I don't do anything!  I do a lot!  Well, maybe I don't actually do a lot - but I do quite a bit!  Uhhhh, well, I don't think I really do quite a bit - but I do a little.  I certainly do more than nothing!  Who do you think gets all this stuff done around here?  I mean really -  rolling my eyes - with a smile on my face! 

Well, I definitely do something!  I'm not sure I can always tell you what I do - but I do something every day!

 

Doing something right now - blogging,

Going to read the newspaper,
Thinking about a pedicure,
Pondering details of my Thanksgiving meal,

Going Krogering,

Later will cook something to eat,

Whew, a full morning,

Then maybe a nap,

 

Did I say nap?

Hmmm, maybe that's why I wake up around one a.m!  Oh well, doesn't matter what time of day things get done - because things do get done.  I get sleep too - just not maybe the hours that most people sleep.  Surely, I'm not the only one that does this!
